3. How do I book an Appointment?
Appointments can be booked through our website at ” Book an Appointment” or by calling 240-729-6891. For existing patients, use the patient portal to access your patient account.
4. Are your therapists licensed?
Your provider at Golden Warmth Behavioral Health is a board-certified Psych and Mental Health Nurse Practitioner with a doctorate who specializes in evaluating, diagnosing, and prescribing medication to treat mental health disorders.
5. What Should I expect during a virtual visit?
During a virtual visit, you will connect with your provider through a secure video platform or through an audio. Sessions typically will last 30-60 minutes depending on the subject. It is a safe, confidential space to discuss your concerns, just like an in-person session.
6. What should I expect during my First Visit?
During your first session, your provider will perform a comprehensive initial evaluation to ascertain your needs and provide individual and holistic recommendations for achieving a successful mental health wellness. You will have the opportunity to ask questions and discuss treatment options about mental health.
7.What If I need to cancel or reschedule my appointment?
If you need to cancel or reschedule your appointment, we request that cancellation or rescheduling be done at least 24 hours in advance to avoid any late cancellation fees. If you fail to notify us, you will be charged a cancellation fee of $ 75.
8. Do you accept Insurance?
Yes, we accept a variety of insurance plans such as Cigna, Aetna, and Blue Cross and Blue Shield.
9. What if I do not have insurance?
We also accept the following payment methods. American Express, Visa, Master Card, Discover, and others. Payments are due at the time of service. Payments for each appointment will be made by debit or credit card or ACH transfer.
10. Will the provider go to court?
The provider will not go to court with the patients.
11. How do I handle emergencies or crises?
If you are in immediate danger or experiencing a mental health crisis such as experiencing suicidal or homicidal thoughts, please call the emergency service ( 911 or 988) or go to the nearest emergency room for evaluation. Providers check for voicemail and messages during normal business hours. Messages left outside of normal hours of operation will be picked up the next business day.
